Cashiers Rotary was pleased to present a grant check for $1500 to Summit Charter School at a recent meeting. The money will be used to support afterschool and summer programs for students in grades K-12.
The Rotary Club of Cashiers Valley provided a generous grant of $1,000 to support this program in 2024,making a meaningful impact on student enrichment opportunities in the arts, recreational sports, outdoor education, engineering, and literacy. High-quality afterschool programs promote positive youth development and
offer a safe space where youth can explore their potential. Summit offers effective afterschool programs that provide learning settings that bring a wide range of benefits to youth, families, and communities.
Afterschool programs can support social, emotional, cognitive, and academic development, reduce risky behaviors, promote physical health, and provide a safe and supportive environment for children and youth. Here are some of the afterschool programs offered at Summit:
